Xbox console differences?

If you live in the Cape, you can pick it up from www.take2.co.za's distributors near Milnerton. You could also get a delivery but that'd be expensive.

Otherwise check out Game, Toys R Us, Musica etc.

I checked out take2 but they only have the full console....no arcade :(
I'll have a look at the other places and see if I can find anything.

It's all good...I know someone who can get xbox arcade brand new for R1899 incl vat :D

I love having connections :D

ROLL ON PAYDAY!!!!!

Blegh, my connection just told me the xbox is the discontinued model...the current model is R2375....still cheaper than the shops tho :P

What would be so bad about owning the discontinued Core model?

I guess you could always buy the hard drive separately if you decide that you do need it.

Hehe....I've been looking up Xbox games again....perhaps I should try to get myself a second-hand one sometime.

The discontinued Core models run on older hardware that is more prone to breaking :) The Arcade is largely considered safe hardware-wise.

It depends on when it was made. I don't think they're all Jaspers. But they're all a lot better than the Cores.

go pro its the most balanced of the 3 sku's

Same. I got my pro (60GB) for R1800 @ an IC opening.

I don't use it NEARLY enough. I killed hawx in 2 days flat, but I'm neglecting my racing games + Fable2 I found to not be not nearly as fable'ish cool as Fable1 :(

Super price that. So us PC bois may not be missing out on much in terms of Fable 2 then?

Now and then I think of buying an Xbox so that I can play Fable 2 and then selling.

Don't you have any friends with the game you can try out at their place in order to see if you want to buy it?

Alas not.

I do have a friend with an Xbox 360 but he does not have Fable 2. I did play a bit of Gears, Viking and Dark Sector at his place though.

You mean rent the game or rent an Xbox 360?

I guess that is worth looking at. Will try to find out if there are any places in East London near me that do that sort of thing.

Thanks.

BT Games rents games for R99 a month I think (no contract) ... dunno about where, if anywhere, would rent the consoles out though.

BTgames has rental contracts...R99 per month for an unlimited number of games 1 at a time or R199 per month for 3 at a time. Maybe you could play it at your friend or something? Would probably involve far less trouble.
