Microsoft is permanently reducing the Xbox One price to £399.99 in the UK, and simultanously announcing a new bundle that includes Titanfall as a free game.

The Xbox One price cut comes into effect this coming Friday, the 28th February, although some retailers seem to have, ahem, jumped ahead: the previously reported news that Simply Games were offering an Xbox One discount "for today only" now should have read "for today only this week, apart from Friday".

I would be LIVID if I had purchased one already... 100 pounds is nearly 2 grand... Fuck Microsoft... Seriously... This is basically saying, o well we could have sold it at this price, but we wanted to make more profit... now we see we not selling as well as we would have liked, massive price drop... dicks...
 
Me thinks Microsoft needs higher sale. Still way to slap the early birds who bought the console 2 months ago
 
So from what I gather this is a UK-only price cut, so prices remain the same everywhere else. Would SA get the reduced price since we fall into the PAL region?

We usually get the European price, so what ever its going for over there come October, should be our price, + import duties etc...
 
Wow xbox must be tanking in the uk for them to drop the price already this is why you don't buy a console at launch.
 
They need the sales, so I can understand dropping the price will yield a bit more sales.

But Yes, shame for those that already bought it for much more expensive. Price will probably remain the same in SA due to the exchange rates and crap later this year
 
This is why you don't buy things on day 1.. good things come to those who wait:p

Not that I'm getting a xbox, I'm aiming for a PS4:D
 
Let's hope that prices keep dropping so we get it at a reasonable price when it releases here :)
 
Also hoping that ongoing poor sales force them to drop price even further. Still don't think I can afford both consoles anytime soon :( but luckily, when I win the PS4 then I only need to buy xbone
