Xbox One Won’t Be Final Console From Microsoft

For all the talk about this being the last cycle of console gaming and how the future will change things, there’s no denying the immense success of the PS4 and Xbox One in today’s world. This only goes to show that console gamers are an audience unto themselves and people like Xbox boss Phil Spencer know it.

On speaking to The Verge and being asked whether Xbox would live on as an app or brand rather than a console, Spencer replied, “No. I fully expect that you’ll see another console from us. Our best customers are Xbox console customers, and I want to keep those people engaged both on the Xbox One and anything we might do in the future. I’m 100 percent committed to that.

“I don’t want to dilute what the Xbox console customer feels. I want to expand what we’re able to do for more customers.”

Xbox executive Shannon Loftis also said that with regards to the future of gaming, Microsoft wanted to make it “more inclusive across the board” and that along with controller-based games, the company was looking into “as many ways to make all of our experiences relevant across all of our platforms as we possibly can.”

Forgot we're dealing with Microsoft, will probably be Xbox N3xt or some crap like that. Thank goodness we don't have some publishers naming these consoles else we would have a Xbox super mega awesome to the max extreme awesomeness 9000 console.
