An independent continent-wide development bank says Zimbabwe's grain reserves are running dangerously low ahead of new but poor harvests caused by erratic rain.

The African Development Bank said Wednesday the strategic reserves have become so depleted that commercial millers have been stopped from buying supplies from the state. It said the shortage of corn has raised prices of the staple food as 1.6 million Zimbabweans already depend on food aid.

50 cents per acre per year leasing cost & a bunch of other favourable taxing rules. Zambia is now a net exporter of food and Zim is starving.

I still marvel at how utterly retarded zim leadership is in this regard. So you don't like the persons skin colour...whatever. Some like the racist angle - not much that can be done there. But to ostracize people with 3+ generations of farming knowledge & instincts backing them is fuckin insane. Doesn't matter whether its a business or country - you hold on to your experienced people at all cost.
