Sony recently announced the PlayStation 4 Pro, its high-end 4K gaming console set to release in November this year.
While its new console plans to bring support for 4K gaming and video at more than double the processing power of the original PS4, Microsoft has said it remains confident that it’s 4K Scorpio console will be more powerful.
Speaking to IGN, Albert Penello from Xbox said that the performance difference between the Scorpio and Pro would be easily discernible.
“I believe that the difference between what we’re going to deliver with Scorpio from a performance perspective and PS4 Pro will be obvious to customers,” said Penello.
“I believe we have the best value this holiday, and I think we’re going to have the most powerful box next year.”
“It was kind of a bold thing to say, given the rumors that were out there. And I’m more confident today that we’re going to have the most powerful console ever made.”
Penello also voiced confidence in the slim Xbox One S model, saying that it is a better value product than Sony’s recently-revealed slim PlayStation 4.
