The Top 10 questions South Africans asked Google this week

Google released the top trending questions in South Africa, which include “What time is it in South Africa?” and “How long does it take to get pregnant?”.

“Flapjacks, white sauce and baking soda occupied South African minds this week, if the top ten trending questions on Google SA are any indicator,” Google said.

This information is gleaned from data collated by Google based on what South Africans have been searching for and asking Google this week.

Google processes more than 40,000 search queries every second. This translates to more than a billion searches per day and 1.2 trillion searches per year worldwide.

The top trending questions on Google SA the past week were:

  1. What time is it in South Africa?
  2. How long does it take to get pregnant?
  3. How to get rid of dark circles around eyes?
  4. How to make flapjacks
  5. What is the informal sector?
  6. How to make white sauce
  7. Is Michael Jackson still alive?
  8. How to get over someone you love
  9. Who founded Google?
  10. What is baking soda?
