BioShock 2 “Protector Trials” DLC deployed on PC

14 March 2011

After a disastrous not-launch three weeks ago, 2K has confirmed that the BioShock 2 Protector Trials DLC expansion will be officially (and, hopefully, successfully) launching for PC sometime today.

The DLC is going out over Games for Windows LIVE, and priced at a very reasonable nothing, so there’s no good excuse to not grab it. The publisher also confirmed that the Minerva’s Den DLC is still in the works for a PC release, and that additional info will be announced “as we get closer to a firm launch date for that pack”.

A small game update is going out with the DLC, and includes the following fixes:

– Fixed unlocalised text in Customize Controls screen.
– Player mouse functionality no longer drops out when the Video Card Driver Warning appears.
– User.ini no longer overwritten when game loads. This should address mouse sensitivity issues as well as many v-sync option bugs.
