Building your own PC from scratch used to be quite a daunting task for even the most clued-up techies.

As technology has developed however, it’s become almost as easy as slotting two pieces of LEGO together (admittedly with some thermal paste between them).

It’s now got even easier thanks to the a new Kickstarter called Kano – “computers” anyone can make.

The kits come in three variants Camera, Pixel and Speaker (or all three for R3,900) and once built can be controlled wirelessly from any web browser.
