How many games are actually on Steam?

14 October 2016

With dozens of games being added to the “New Releases” section every day, do you ever think to yourself how many games there actually are on Steam?

Speaking at their recent Steam Dev Days events this week, Valve confirmed that the Steam store now boasts 10,000 titles.

That’s a massive increase of 4,400 games since 22 July 2015, although the quality of some games is certainly debatable.

In addition, over 600 of those titles are VR-capable, with 300 more coming in 2017 alone.

Steam Dev days will run for the remainder of this week and will feature keynotes from third parties and Valve, which will be discussing near-term and long-term expansions to Steam.
