FEAR 3 UK release date announced, SA date unconfirmed

23 March 2011

FEAR 3 (or F.3.A.R.) has had a tumultuous journey to retail thus far, with numerous release dates being pushed back again and again. Publisher Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has now indicated a firm UK release date for the title, which should be launching on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC on 27 May 2011 in that region.

South Africa typically follows UK and EU release schedules so it may be safe to assume that we will be receiving the game at the same time. MyGaming contacted local distributor NuMetro to confirm the release date, but they are still waiting on official confirmation from Warner Bros.

F.E.A.R. 3 promises to deliver more of the paranormal/horror FPS action that the series is renowned for. Alma returns in F.E.A.R. 3 but this time her sons Point Man and Paxton Fettel introduce divergent co-op, giving players distinctly different abilities affecting their own play as well as the experience of their co-op partner.

Gamers participate in single player or co-op modes as Point Man, a genetically enhanced super soldier originally introduced in F.E.A.R., or they can play cooperatively as his conniving brother Paxton Fettel, whose incredible telekinetic power has given him life beyond the grave.
