South African psychological puzzle game Echoplex has been Greenlit on Steam, only 20 days after being launched on the community-curated Greenlight platform.

Echoplex is a unique puzzle game which features simple, striking graphics and unique gameplay mechanics.

The game is developed by three local game designers and was created by filmmaker and creative director Tyron Janse van Vuuren.

The developer’s description of the game outlines a frantic race against your own shadow:

“In the Echoplex, you’re followed by an echo of yourself who repeats everything you do.”

“Activate a switch to unlock a door, and your Echo will activate the same switch a few seconds later, locking the door again. Your Echo is always getting closer – and if it catches up to you, the game is over.”

PC gamers can download a demo of the game from the official website and head to the Echoplex Greenlight Steam page to learn more about the game.
