Assassin’s Creed The Ezio Collection was released for PS4 and Xbox One earlier this week, and features remastered versions of the three games centered around the assassin Ezio Auditore da Firenze.
Usually, remastered games provide general improvements to graphics, such as better textures or overhauled lighting.
Looking at the remastered version of Assassin’s Creed 2 however, Polygon discovered that some things were a bit out of place.
While the buildings and weather effects of Florence look more detailed and impressive, something is a bit weird about the faces of the remastered characters.
The faces of most characters have been lightened and facial features have been changed to deliver more prominent eyes and brighter lips.
Some characters still look fine, but others look downright weird:

The character on the right has been completely changed, from his outfit to his facial features.
In addition to the strange character faces, climbing has also been altered, with Ezio’s animations being less smooth and the player getting stuck more often.
