The Orange Box reduced to $20 on Steam

8 April 2011

Do you like the colour orange? Do you like stuff in boxes? In case you’ve only just arrived on the planet or something and not bought and played it to death already, Valve’s Orange Box – recognised by experts everywhere as the greatest gaming deal ever – is now permanently reduced to only $20 on Steam. That’s five games for $20. That’s five games for less than R140. That’s the greatest gaming deal ever, all over again.

The bundle includes the critically acclaimed Half-Life 2, critically acclaimed Half-Life 2: Episode One, critically acclaimed Half-Life 2: Episode Two, critically acclaimed Portal, and critically acclaimed Team Fortress 2. Altogether, this critically acclaimed collected is rated around 96 on Metacritic.

Portal 2 launches on 21 April, so you’ve got about two weeks to catch up. As a bonus extra, you’ll also finally get the cake joke.

Note that for those of you with low bandwidth caps, it’s possible to buy the games, and copy the files from somebody who already has them. It couldn’t be simpler!
