Humble Frozenbyte Bundle banks almost half a million on launch day

14 April 2011

In its first 24 hours after launch, the Humble Indie Bundle #3 – or Humble Frozenbyte Bundle, as it’s properly called this time around – has already banked a massive $487,073.92. Oh, wait – it’s just gone up to 487,134.95. No, $487,326.94. I CAN’T KEEP UP WITH IT.

Like previous Humble Indie Bundles, the promotion lets you decide what you’ll pay for the games, which include Frozenbyte’s Trine, Shadowgrounds, Shadowgrounds: Survivor, a preorder for upcoming title Splot, and the source code for some sort of unfinished project called Jack Claw. All the games are DRM-free, and available for PC, Mac, and Linux, and all proceeds are divided between the devs, Child’s Play charity, and the Electronic Frontier Foundation.

Currently, the average purchase price across all platforms is around $5.19, with Linux users paying out the most on average at $11.74. The top buyer for the moment is Minecraft creator Notch, who paid $2000 for the pack.

The promotion is live for another 12 days or so. Get it while it’s cool!
