Fibre-to-the-home service provider Cool Ideas has made its traffic graphs public, which show that local traffic far exceeds international traffic on its network.
Cool Ideas’ international traffic peaks at around 2Gbps, while local traffic peaks at over 4Gbps.
Cool Ideas CEO Paul Butschi said they recently started peering at LINX in London, which gives them more visibility of their international traffic.
The peering arrangement also provides them with more flexibility in commissioning bandwidth in that direction, said Butschi.
The charts below show the hourly and daily traffic on Cool Ideas’ network, with the light-green wave showing international traffic.
