Premier StarCraft II tournament organiser PolarFluke has announced that it will be hosting its next monthly competition on 7 May.
The tournament will kick off with round 1 on the Saturday at 15:00. Round 2 will follow at 16:30, round 3 at 18:00 and round 4 at 19:30. These “Swiss stages” will play out in a best of 3 format, and the best players will go through to the single elimination rounds on Sunday.
Players will be seeded for the tournament according to the Polarfluke StarCraft II rankings. Players must be 18 years or older to participate, or otherwise have submitted a consent letter along with the tournament entry. Of course players must also own a legal copy of StarCraft II. Only South African citizens will be eligible for prizes.
Local Activision Blizzard distributor Megarom is sponsoring a R1,600 cash prize which will be split among the top 3 placing players.
