Nintendo Switch console and accessories – South African pricing

Takealot has listed the launch date and local pricing for the Nintendo Switch gaming console.

The console is available for pre-order and comes with a choice of grey Joy-Con controllers or Neon Blue and Red Joy-Con controllers.

The Switch is a handheld-and-traditional console that includes a dock which allows it to charge and connect to a television.

Takealot has also listed local pricing for Switch accessories and games, including the Pro Controller and Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

South African pricing for the Switch and accessories is as follows:

• Nintendo Switch with Neon Red and Neon Blue Joy-Con – R5,299
• Nintendo Switch with Grey Joy-Con – R5,299
• Carrying Case and Screen Protector – R349
• Switch Pro Controller – R1,199
• Nintendo Switch AC Adapter – R499
• Switch Joy-Con Charging Grip – R549
• Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild – R880
• Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Limited Edition – R1,299

The price listed for the Switch includes a R300 pre-order discount. Consumers are expected to pay the full price of R5,600 if they purchase it after 3 March 2017.
