R1 Million up for grabs in MettleState eSports comp

Mettlestate, in partnership with Samsung Mobile, is offering a R1 Million prize pool for a two-month eSports tournament kicking off on 13 March 2017 in the Galaxy CSO Championship.

The final is scheduled for the 7th of May and is offering the biggest prize pool for a single title in South Africa.

Mettlestate is ‘Forging the Future of Pro Gaming’ in South Africa, and has launched to the local gaming community with an R50,000 grudge match between Bravado and Energy.

Conceptualised 15 years ago by Barry “Anthrax” Louzada, Mettlestate has been three years in the making with his Shout Casting Partner Lewis “Vudulew” Williams and the support of many eSports enthusiasts.

“It’s been really difficult keeping the secret of this tournament for so long, but now that it is out, it is the start of many great things to come,” said Vudulew.

“South Africa is desperate for is an eSports organisation with the backing of international authorities to align South Africa with global tournament hosting and broadcast standards,” said Anthrax.
