A PC gamer’s perspective on the Nintendo Switch

So, Nintendo’s colourful new console released last week and people have finally had time to get their hands on the new system, but what are their impressions?

Well, it’s still early to tell (there aren’t too many games out just yet), but with the likes of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, 1-2 Switch, and a few other exciting games on the device, it’s fair to say that journos now have an idea of what the Switch can deliver.

IGN says that the console is “nicely built and cleverly designed to be used in a variety of ways, but ultimately, the Switch doesn’t do any one of the many things it can do without some sort of significant compromise.” On the other hand, Eurogamer says “the Switch is portable gaming redesigned, with no boundaries and next to no compromise”, which is a bit of a contradiction to IGN’s thoughts.

So, where does that leave us? PC enthusiasts and YouTube reviewers LinusTechTips got their paws on the Switch to give their thoughts on Nintendo’s new console, and we think they’ve done a pretty stellar job with their review.
