InFamous 2 is gearing up for launch on 10 June 2011. After a successful romp through Empire City, protagonist Cole MacGrath has decided to relocate to the New Orleans inspired fictional city of New Marais. There he will hone his electrical abilities and also work to resolve many of the mysteries surrounding the first game, and uncover some new mysteries along the way.
Along with the electrically charged hijinks players can look forward to in InFamous 2, there will also be a set of content creation tools with which users can exercise their imagination, promising to lend a plenty of longevity to the open-world romp.
MyGaming was lucky enough to come across Cole MacGrath’s wallet and couldn’t resist taking a peek inside – giving us a bit of insight into the man behind the electrically supercharged demi-god. All images can be viewed in a new window or saved for the full sized version.
Cole carries around a couple of newspaper cut-outs of stories covering his actions in the city. Continuing with the moral choice theme of the game, Cole carries a story portraying him as both the good guy (above) and the bad guy (below).
Of course Cole can’t always be out saving the world from disaster – a man deserve some R&R on occassion. Cole carries around some cash, likely for those visits to the French Quarter of New Marais where one can find delightful adult establishments such as the Les Folies Marais. Cole seems to have no trouble getting a bank card either – would you want to be the bank manager that turns down his application? Cole also keeps a momento of his past life – his Empire City Couriers card; things were simpler then, but foot skating down powerlines is by far a cooler way to get around.
Cole may be an unstoppable electrical force, but a man’s gotta eat. While in New Marais, it would be foolish to not sample the local cuisine from Vic Dempsy’s renowned Oyster & Crab House. Cole seems to be partial to a bit of seafood, washed down with beer. Run an electrical charge through those acidic stomach contents, and Cole will be glad he doesn’t have to rely on public transport to get home quickly.
