LA Noire promoted to version 1.00

24 May 2011

Rockstar has dropped an automatic game update for LA Noire over Xbox LIVE and the PlayStation Network, bringing the game up to version 1.00 and not changing very much.

According to the official patch notes, the update addresses the following issues:

Fixes for several in-game store issues including age-verification for DLC purchases

Fixes for minor gameplay bugs and graphical issues

Fixes for several minor plot/objective/conversation issues

Improvements in stat-tracking and Social-Club integration

“As always, if you are experiencing any issues or have questions related to this title update, we implore you to contact our technical support team,” says the accompanying PR stuff.

Since launching last week, the game has been the focus of some controversy over overheating PS3 consoles and locking up on Xbox, although the matter remains unresolved for the moment.

Nonetheless, the detect-‘em-up has managed to maintain a pretty impressive Metacritic rating of 89 and 90 on PS3 and Xbox respectively.
