AMD Threadripper CPU pricing revealed

AMD has announced the prices of its new Ryzen Threadripper CPUs, AnandTech reported.

  • The 1920X is listed for $799
  • The 1950X is listed for $999

The 1920X will have a base clock frequency of 3.5GHz and turbo up to 4.0GHz. The 1950X will have a 3.4GHz base clock and turbo up to 4.0GHz.

The Threadripper processors are comprised of two Zeppelin dies and based on AMD’s Zen architecture, boasting 16 physical cores with 32 threads.

They will feature up to 32MB of L3 cache, quad-channel memory support, and will use a new socket/motherboard platform called X399 – a 4094-pin socket.

AMD said the new CPUs will be out in August.
