Atari has unveiled its latest project, a baseball-style cap with built-in speakers called the Speakerhat.

The Atari Speakerhat includes a pair of stereo speakers embedded in the bill of the cap and a built-in microphone.

The company partnered with Audiowear to create a hat that can connect to smartphones, tablets, or computers via Bluetooth. It can play music and accept phone calls.

The technology inside the device consists of proprietary audio hardware, a rechargeable Lithium-ion battery, a universal control button, and an LED indicator light.

Atari’s Speakerhat will also support “Multiplayer Mode”, which allows multiple wearers to listen to a single audio stream at the same time.

The project is currently in beta and registration is open for early adopters.
