Megarom has today confirmed that SA gamers will be getting stock of Collector’s Edition of the upcoming Deus Ex: Human Revolution.
As usual, Collector’s Editions will be limited in supply, because that’s kind of the point. Both console versions will carry a recommended retail price of R1,099, and the PC version will be comparatively quite expensive with an asking price of R999.
We’re actually pretty lucky to be getting Collector’s Editions in SA, as it is only avaibale in the US and certain European countries. Fellow Southern Hemisphere dwellers Australia and New Zealand have been left out in the cold on this one.
The Collector’s will feature some fancy packaging, an Adam Jensen action figure, exclusive in-game content, credits for buying stuff for the game online, a 40 page art book and a “making of” DVD, plus a soundtrack disk and a motion comic.
The Original Deus Ex remains one of the most critically acclaimed games of all time, holding a Metacritic score of 90/100. The first sequel to the cyberpunk themed action RPG, Deus Ex: Invisible War also received positive reviews, so there is a lot riding on Human Revolution to live up to the franchise’s legacy.
Deus Ex: Human Revolution is due out on 26 August, 2011. The MyGaming Shop has managed to secure limited numbers of the Collector’s Edition for pre-order:
Deus Ex: Human Revolutions Collector’s Edition PC – R839
Deus Ex: Human Revolution Collector’s Edition PS3 – R939
Deus Ex: Human Revolution Collector’s Edition Xbox 360 – R939
First time buyers may make use of our R100 discount voucher by entering the “mygaming” into the coupon box before checking out.
