Biggest announcements from Gamescom 2017

Gamescom is an annual gaming event which takes place in Cologne, Germany and features a number of press conferences in addition to a large expo.

This year’s event saw announcements from multiple publishers, new trailers for upcoming titles, and an appearance from Chancellor Angela Merkel.

We have rounded up the biggest gaming announcements from Gamescom 2017, detailed below.


Rocket League on Nintendo Switch

Rocket League developer Psyonix announced exclusive battle cars available on the Nintendo Switch version of the game.


Xbox One X Scorpio Edition

Microsoft unveiled the Xbox One X Scorpio Edition console, available only for pre-order customers.


Age of Empires IV

Microsoft revealed it is working on the fourth installment in the Age of Empires franchise.


Gwent Story Campaign

CD Projekt RED revealed the campaign for its online trading card game.


Biomutant

THQ Nordic revealed gameplay footage of its upcoming action-RPG.


Jurassic World Evolution

Planet Coaster developer Frontier Developments revealed a new theme-park builder based on the world of Jurassic Park.


Anno 1800

Ubisoft revealed a teaser trailer for the next installment in the Anno series.


Overwatch – Junkertown and Mei

Blizzard launched a new map for Overwatch and published an animated origin story of Mei titled “Rise and Shine”.


Star Wars Battlefront 2

EA showed off more starfighter combat in its latest Battlefront 2 video.


Fe Trailer

Swedish developer Zoink Games published a new trailer for its game Fe.
