ASUS reveals new ROG and ZenBook notebooks

ASUS has revealed its new lineup of ROG Strix and ZenBook laptops.

The ZenBook Flip 14 and ASUS ROG Strix SCAR were announced at IFA 2017, with both offering impressive specifications for their respective markets.

The specifications and details of the new ASUS devices are below.


ASUS ZenBook Flip 14

The ZenBook Flip 14, which is the “world’s thinnest 2-in-1 laptop with discrete graphics”, boasts a 14-inch FHD display driven by an Nvidia GeForce GT 1030

The graphics card will support light gaming and be more than capable of tackling video-related tasks.

Additional specifications also point towards powerful performance, including an Intel Core i7 8th-gen processor, 16GB of RAM, and a 512GB SSD.

There is currently no information regarding pricing and availability of the ZenBook Flip 14.

ASUS ROG Strix SCAR Edition

The ROG Strix SCAR is a thin, powerful gaming laptop which boasts an Nvidia GeForce GXT 10-series graphics card, Intel Core i7 processor, and is available in either 15-inch or 17-inch models.

The device caters for first-person shooters, and features a screen with a response time of 5ms and refresh rate of up to 144Hz.

Other features include a desktop-style keyboard layout and N-key rollover to enhance keyboard precision.

The SCAR is slimmer than previous ASUS gaming laptops, and is also available in a Hero Edition. The Hero Edition substitutes the high-refresh-rate display for a unit with a wider colour gamut.

There is currently no information regarding pricing and availability of the ROG Strix SCAR.
