In news that will doubtless come as a huge shock to everybody everywhere, it looks like the Duke Nukem Forever launch will be followed by additional DLC. I know, it’s a lot to process.
The stunning revelation comes by way of Jon St John, who voices the game’s titular (HUR HUR) blond manbimbo.
“I’ve probably done seven or eight sessions for Duke Nukem Forever, and I have some still to go,” he tells VoicetheDream in a recent interview. “Even though the game is still finished, of course there will be special add-on packs and features including… I don’t know if I am allowed to talk about this or not… something that may involve singing. I’ll leave it at that.”
Back in January, Gearbox’s Randy Pitchford made some vague allusions to subsequent DLC releases, telling Eurogamer that “As we wrap everything up completely and get closer to the launch date, our attentions can be allowed to think about the future again.”
Duke Nukem Forever recently went gold after just 14 years in development, and is scheduled to release on 10 June. Let’s hope it doesn’t feel rushed.
