Ubisoft has released its results for the first half of its financial year, which ended on 30 September 2017.

The results showed a sharp rise in sales, up 65.7% to €466.2 million. Sales for the second quarter were €264.2 million, compared to a target of €190 million.

It said the growth was driven by titles Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle, Rainbow Six Siege, Ghost Recon Wildlands, and For Honor.

Digital revenues were up 69.1% to €342.6 million, with an increase in player recurring investment – including DLC, season passes, and subscriptions.

Back-catalogue sales were also up 47.9% to €379.4 million.

Ubisoft said it is looking forward to a strong third quarter, thanks to Assassin’s Creed Origins and South Park: The Fractured but Whole.

Assassin’s Creed Origins saw double the sales in its first 10 days compared to Assassin’s Creed Syndicate.
