Bugsnax releasing on new platforms later this month

13 April 2022

Bugsnax, the adorable game about catching snack-themed bugs, will come to PC, Game Pass, and Nintendo Switch on 28 April.

When Bugsnax launched in 2020, the game was exclusive to PlayStation and the Epic Games Store.

The game’s arrival on the new platforms will also include the latest update — The Isle of Bigsnax, which adds new story content set on a jungle island.

The Isle of Bigsnax update will also add new content to the game’s original world, including supersized bugsnax and a hut that players can customise.

Some of the new oversized Bigsnax include the Bunger Royale, a giant Bunger with tater tot limbs; the Cellystix, a stick bug made of celery; the Cheddorb, a rolling cheeseball; the Spaghider, a spider consisting of pasta; and the Tikkada Masala, a cicada with naan wings.

New mechanics are also coming with the free update, like buggy ball maze puzzles and the ability to use shrink spice to assist with catching the oversized Bigsnax.

The game will cost $25 on the US Steam store, but local pricing hasn’t been revealed yet.

If you are unfamiliar with Bugsnax, this is the perfect opportunity to experience the hilarious voice acting and innovative gameplay mechanics.
