The Witcher 3 next-gen update postponed

14 April 2022

CD Projekt Red has announced that the next-gen update for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has been postponed until further notice.

The developer explained on the game’s official Twitter page that the delay was due to CD Project Red deciding to take back control of the update’s development from Saber Interactive. It is therefore currently evaluating the scope of the work needed to be done.

The Witcher 3’s next-gen update was expected to arrive in June 2022 as a free Complete Edition.

The developer said that the update will include all expansions and extra content the game has accumulated since its launch back in 2015 – along with performance enhancements such as ray-tracing, quicker loading speeds, and improved graphics.

Unfortunately for fans, there are no assurances on when the delayed update will be released; however, CD Projekt Red is expected to address the time frame of the postponement in the coming weeks.
