Yesterday Meta’s 2022 gaming showcase revealed the games you will be able to play on your Quest 2 VR headset this year.
The announcements included new title reveals such as The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners Chapter 2, Red Matter 2, Espire 2, and Ghostbusters VR.
Additionally, several existing games have received ports or VR versions, including Moss Book 2 and Among Us VR.
Below are all the announcements from the event.
The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners Chapter 2
The first announcement was for Chapter 2 of the Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners, which is expected to drop in late 2022.
The trailer showed the player-character carving their way through hordes of zombies in VR using pistols, axes, machetes and even a chainsaw.
NFL Pro Era
The first fully licensed NFL VR game was announced to allow players to experience what it’s like to be the Quarterback of their favourite NFL team.
This year, the NFL Pro Era is slated for release on Meta Quest and PlayStation VR.
Among Us VR
Among Us VR takes all the finger-pointing, backstabbing, and task completion of this hugely popular game to the next level.
The title is coming in the holidays of 2022.
Red Matter 2
The sequel to Red Matter will start right where the first game ended and will take the players on a grand adventure across the stars.
Red Matter is slated for release later this year.
Espire 2
Espire 2 is another sequel that will allow players to enjoy the stealth-action gameplay that made the first game memorable.
It will release in 2022.
Moss Book 2
Moss Book 2 was first released on PlayStation VR on 31 March this year to a positive reception and featured a single-player action-adventure story with puzzle gameplay.
The Quest 2 version of the game will arrive in summer of this year.
Ruinsmagus
In Ruinsmagus, you will take the role of a young wizard and explore the immersive fantasy world of this JRPG.
Ruinsmagus is slated to release in summer of this year.
Cities VR
Cities VR will allow you to build and manage your city as its mayor.
It will release on 28 April, and pre-orders are now available.
Resident Evil 4: The Mercenaries
Resident Evil 4 VR was released in October 2021, and due to popular demand, a free wave-based game mode has been added as DLC.
The free DLC is now available as an update to all who own the base game.
Beat Saber: Electronic Mixtape
Beat Saber is adding a new mixtape that will allow you to slash away to more tracks.
The new mixtape will include songs from Deadmau5, Marshmello, Pendulum and many more and is slated to be coming soon.
Bonelab
Another experimental physics game from developer Stress Level Zero, Bonelab, will allow you to solve its combat challenges in whatever way you see fit with the variety of weapons and tools at your disposal.
Bonelab will release in 2022 on Quest 2, PlayStation VR and Steam.
Ghostbusters VR
The final announcement of the showcase was for Ghostbusters VR, which will allow you and up to three friends to hunt ghosts in San Francisco and solve a new mystery in the Ghostbusters universe.
Ghostbusters VR’s release date is yet to be announced.
