Season 3 of Call of Duty: Vanguard and Warzone arrives on 27 April

22 April 2022

PlayStation has revealed that Season Three of Call of Duty: Vanguard and Warzone, Classified Arms, will arrive on 27 April and has detailed what it will include.

According to the blog post, Season Three will introduce new prototype weapons, new maps, and a new operation called Operation Monarch.

The third season’s Battle Pass will have 100 tiers of new content that includes two new free weapons: the M1916 Marksman Rifle and the Nikita AVT Assault Rifle.

Below is the main content list of Season Three.

Battle Pass

  • M1916 Marksman Rifle: A German semiautomatic rifle with great damage.
  • Nikita AVT: An assault rifle with the highest fire rate in its category.
  • Task Force Harpy Operator Mateo Hernandez: An Operator that will be unlocked immediately after purchasing the Battle Pass.

Operators, Weapons and Maps

  • Florence Carter and Kim Tae Young: Two Operators that will appear later in the store.
  • The Sledgehammer and H4 Blixen SMG: Two weapons acquired by completing in-game challenges or purchasing store bundles.
  • Dig Site: A location between the Mine and the Ruins will allow Operators to rummage through abandoned excavation equipment, tens, and massive skeletons for Supply Boxes and other items.
  • Updates to Runway, Peak, and Lagoon: Caldera’s northern Runway and its stronghold on the Peak will be fortified, and the shifting tides of Lagoon will reveal a new path to the Lighthouse.
  • Operation Monarch: The operation will only begin on 11 May, but until then, players can be on the lookout for giant creatures, ancient artefacts, Monarch Research equipment and facilities.
  • New Gulag — Hold: A new Gulag developed by Toys for Bob and a roughly symmetrical arena in the belly of a ship moored off the coast of Caldera.
  • Mid-Season Intel: Although Operation Monarch will only start in May, something else is shaking and booming beneath the island; until then, players can look out for what lies below.

Multiplayer maps and a Trophy System

  • Mayhem: A 1950’s movie set meant for fast-paced combat will be available on launch.
  • Sphere: A hidden weapons lab that will become available during the season.
  • Trophy System: A new field upgrade in Vanguard Multiplayer that can neutralise Frag Grenades, Sticky Bombs, and No. 69 Stun grenades in the vicinity — it will be available immediately, no Battle Progress required.
  • Two new Weapon Blueprints and two new camos for all weapons usable in Ranked Play.
