Elden Ring sold 13.4 million copies during the month after its release, making it the most successful FromSoftware game ever.
This was revealed in the latest Bandai Namco earnings call, where it was also indicated that 12 million of these sales took place in the first three weeks.
Dark Souls 3 was previously the highest earner for FromSoftware, having sold over 10 million copies in four years, and the Souls series has sold over 27 million copies overall.
Elden Ring, no doubt thanks to its accessibility, is set to exceed this total if its sales continue to be as brilliant as they’ve been thus far.
Elden Ring was released on 25 February 2022 and received numerous accolades and positive reviews and has since managed to stay in the top ten highest-grossing games on Steam consistently.
