SteamDB has released its stats from last week, and among the top ten revenue games for last week, there are a few unexpected new additions.
As always, the games in this list are ranked based exclusively upon total revenue. As a result, even if a game sold many copies, it may not make this list if its overall price was low.
Likewise, due to the way Steam records its developer’s game data, DLC packs of games, such as Deluxe Editions, are listed separately and as such, the same game can appear on this list in multiple positions.
Below are the top ten for the week of 29 May.
10. Sniper Elite 5
The fifth entry into the Sniper Elite series was released on 25 May last week.
As a new release in a well-regarded franchise, it’s not surprising to see it make it into the top ten.
However, it is uncertain whether or not it will appear in the next top ten list.
Sniper Elite 5 has a Mostly Positive user review score on Steam.
9. No Man’s Sky
No Man’s Sky is a title that went down in infamy for one of the worst launches in gaming history. However, thanks to its developer’s constant updates and support, the title has developed a steadfast community.
The most recent update to No Man’s Sky, the Leviathan Expedition, was released last week and offers a new experience with roguelike gameplay and numerous new rewards.
No Man’s Sky is currently on sale, which likely helped it make it into the top ten.
The title has a Mostly Positive overall user review score and a Very Positive recent review user review score.
8. Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Mega Mix+ – VIP Edition
Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Mega Mix+ is a premier rhythm game that allows the player to take centre stage as a virtual pop star.
It is an unexpected title in the top ten given it isn’t a mainstream game – however, this is likely because it is a new release, having launched on 26 May.
It has a Very Positive user review score on Steam.
7. Valve Index VR Kit
The Valve Index VR Kit, as expected, remains in the top ten but has dropped from its sixth position.
The VR equipment bundle comes with Half-life: Alyx.
It isn’t available in South Africa.
6. V Rising – Founders Pack: Eldest Bloodline
V Rising retains its spot in the top ten for a second week, with its Founders Pack dropping only one place from last week’s fifth position.
The vampire survival game has received praise from most gamers for its solid and enjoyable gameplay loop and high quality despite being an early access title.

5. My Time at Sandrock
My Time at Sandrock puts players in charge of a fledgling builder as they strive to save a town from economic ruin.
My Time at Sandrock is another new release as it was launched into Early Access on 25 May.
It has a Mostly Positive user review score on Steam.
4. FIFA 22
FIFA 22 retains its position in the top ten and even increased its rank from last week, rising four positions from eighth.
The sports title has had a substantial discount for some time which likely explains its presence on this list.
FIFA 22 has a Mostly Positive overall user review score and a Very Positive recent user review score.
3. Elden Ring
Last week we speculated that Elden Ring’s time on the top ten could have been coming to a close.
Its lower player averages would certainly support a decline before its first DLC is announced. However, it would seem we were wrong as not only has it stayed in the top ten, it’s risen by one position.
It would seem that Elden Ring’s reign in the top five titles is set to continue.

2. Steam Deck
The Steam Deck maintains its second-place spot in the top ten from last week and once again proves to be a highly successful product.
The portable gaming PC from Valve continues to sell well, and it’s more than likely it’ll at the very least retain its second-place spot next week.
The Steam Deck is currently unavailable in South Africa.
1. V Rising
The number one highest revenue game for the week is once again V Rising.
The vampire survival game has garnered much acclaim from gamers due to its high quality and gameplay loop.
You take the role of a newly awoken vampire who must hunt for blood while rebuilding their empire.
This involves PvE and PvP content in conjunction with base-building and resource gathering in an isometric, top-down perspective.
V Rising will likely be in the top ten next week.
It has a Very Positive user review score on Steam.
