According to The Ronin, Netflix is scheduled to start shooting their Horizon TV series adaption this August in Toronto and other locations around Ontario in Canada.
This Horizon TV series is based on PlayStation’s video game titles Horizon: Zero Dawn and Horizon: Forbidden West, which has been a massive hit for Sony.
The title of the series will reportedly be “Horizon 2074” and Netflix aims to wrap up production around March 2023 — meaning we could see the series hit the TV screen at the end of next year or in early 2024.
While the details on the series adaption are slim, it was been confirmed that production designer Mark Steel, who previously worked on other Netflix projects like Locke and Key and The Umbrella Academy, is joining the show’s production team.
Additionally, according to notable insider Jeff Grubb, Horizon 2074 is going to sit alongside the story seen in the video games and will shed light on some of the events that take place before the fall of humanity.
There is still no information regarding showrunners, writers, directors and actors — but these details are likely to be shared with the public in the coming weeks.
