August Games with Gold revealed

29 July 2022

Microsoft has revealed the free games for Xbox Live Gold subscribers for August.

The four games that will be free to subscribers next month will be available from either 1 August or 16 August and will be offered for around a month.

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members will also have access to the games.

Below are the four games coming to Xbox Live Gold.

Calico – 1 August to 31 August

A charming cat sim where players will be able to rebuild a run-down cat cafe in a small town.

Players will be able to create their character, select clothing and decorate the cafe for human and feline visitors alike.

There are also magical potions that players can use to add further excitement and variance to the game – such as making a cat big enough to ride.

Calico is a creative, relaxing game.

Saint’s Row 2 – 1 August to 15 August

In the second game of the popular series, you will awaken after five years in a changed world where the 3rd Street Saints have disbanded, and their territory has been lost to rival gangs.

Players will have to rebuild the Saints and retake their lost territory.

Saint’s Row 2 continues the series’ penchant for humour and violence as you earn respect by any means possible.

If you’re looking for action, humour, and memorable characters, Saint’s Row 2 is a good bet.

Monaco: What’s Yours is Mine – 16 August to 31 August

In Monaco: What’s yours is Mine, players will assemble a team of crack thieves to pull off the heist of a lifetime.

You’ll be able to choose from one of eight highly skilled and entertaining characters with unique skillsets as you play solo or with three friends.

Each stage of each theft is told from a different perspective.

An excellent game for those who enjoy stealth games.

Scourgebringer – 16 August to 15 September

The final of the four games is Scourgebringer – a rogue-lite platformer.

Set in a post-apocalyptic world, players will take control of Kyhra, the deadliest warrior of your clan, in fast-paced combat.

Players will face both regular enemies and bosses in an ever-changing dungeon as they attempt to unearth the secrets of the past and potentially redeem all of humanity.

If you enjoy titles such as Hades or Dead Cells, this game should interest you.
