A remake of the 2006 game Sherlock Holmes The Awakened has been announced to enter into development and will be funded through Kickstarter.
The remake will be developed by Frogwares and was initially titled Project Palianytsia.
Frogwares has indicated they intend to do substantial rewrites of the original story so that it will serve as a continuation of the young Sherlock’s story from previous entries.
The game company also indicated that they hadn’t originally intended to work on Project Palinytsia so soon, but circumstances have necessitated it.
Due to the conflict in Ukraine, the gaming company elected to work on an easier-to-manage project rather than go ahead with a more complex one.
However, Frogwares did add that while easier to develop, the remake will still be ambitious, high quality, and with great storytelling and mystery’s to solve.
