Xbox Game Pass announces titles for the first week of August

Microsoft has announced nine titles coming to Xbox Game Pass in the first week of August 2022.

Most of these titles include Smart Delivery, which automatically downloads the best version of the game depending on your platform.

The titles coming to Xbox Game Pass this week are listed below.

Azure Striker Gunvolt 3 (Smart Delivery) — August 1

Gunvolt 3 is a high-speed 2D action game that will have you play as both Kirin and series protagonist Gunvolt.

Players can switch between them on the fly while conquering Gunvolt 3’s many stages and bosses.

After Wave: Downfall — August 2

Downfall is an arcade shooter where you battle against monsters with a cool battleship.

Frogun (Smart Delivery) — August 2

Frogun is an old-school platformer which follows Renata as she embarks on an epic quest to rescue her parents with her trusty Frog-shaped grappling hook.

Gale of Windoria (Console and PC with Smart Delivery) — August 3

Gale of Windoria is a role-playing adventure game that will have you make use of the elementals in turn-based battles and dungeon gimmicks by combining unique character abilities.

Gigapocalypse (Smart Delivery) — August 4

Gigapocalypse is a 2D pixel art destruction game inspired by classic Kaijū movies such as Godzilla, King Kong, and the classic game Rampage.

QuByte Classics: Thunderbolt — August 4

This is a compilation of two vertical-scrolling shoot ‘em ups from the series Thunderbolt released in 1995 — porting the 8-bit and 16-bit versions of the game.

Turbo Golf Racing (Console and PC with Smart Delivery) — August 4

Turbo Golf Racing is an arcade-style multiplayer golfing experience.

Players will drive, boost, jump, flip, and fly their turbo-powered cars as you chip, putt, and smash giant golf balls.

Flying Soldiers — August 5

Flying Soldiers is a unique puzzle game that will task players with commanding an odd squad of birds as you devise a plan to navigate them to the end of the battlefield safely.
