Infinity Ward founders’ new studio Respawn Entertainment website launched

1 July 2011

Without a doubt, the best thing to come out of last year’s legal wrangle between Activision and Infinity Ward was the formation of Respawn Entertainment.

Not a lot has been said about the new developer since it formed in April last year. Headed by Infinity Ward studio heads Jason West and Vince Zampella, as well as numerous ex-Infinity Ward employess, reports have indicated that the developer started working on a brand new project in May 2010.

Now Respawn finally has a website.

From the about section:

So, welcome to our new site. Browse around, read some employee bios, check in on the forums, see if you can help figure out what we’re working on, or heck – apply for a job! Over the coming weeks/months/years there will be a venerable bounty of delicious Respawn Entertainment news to enjoy, so I recommend stopping by regularly.

Other titbits we can glean from the site include confirmation that the new game is an original IP. However, when asked if they are developing a multi-platform game, Respawn stated “multiplatform? Well, we can definitely say it’ll be on more than one platform.”

Is that a hint that their first game will only come out on two platforms? If so, who is most likely to be left out?
