How much a Switch 2 costs in South Africa right now

15 June 2026

The Switch 2 launched almost a year ago, and South Africans can now purchase the console for only R11,499.

This R11,499 price is available across most major online retailers, and is R1,000 lower than the release price of R12,499.

If you cannot afford to buy the Switch 2 in one go, certain retailers offer monthly repayment options as an alternative.

This includes deals such as R1,916.50 per month for 6 months or R1,070 per month for 12 months – both of which are available on the official Nintendo South Africa store.

There are also bundles available to South Africans which add a popular game to the deal.

These bundles are available for R12,499 – R1,000 more than the Switch 2 costs alone – and include games such as Pokémon Legends Z-A and Mario Kart World.

These games are cost between R1,299 and R1,999 when purchased separately, making these bundles excellent value for money.
