FarCry 3 will be superior on PC – Ubisoft

18 July 2011

It almost goes without saying that PC games should generally look a lot better than console games, due simply to the fact that modern PC hardware is more powerful than current generation console hardware.

The latest developer to promise a superior experience on PC is Ubisoft, telling Videogamer that “the PC does have a lot more grunt under the hood – or it can have grunt – so there’s a lot more that we can push there.”

Don’t worry if you’re a PS3 or Xbox 360 gamer though, because Ubisoft also said “that doesn’t mean to say, ‘Let’s only push PC and leave the consoles behind.’ We will keep pushing to get as much out of the consoles as we possibly can.”

“When we do finally unveil what the console versions looks like, I think people are are going to be surprised. Yeah, there are going to be differences, but it might not be as much as people realise.”

So far Far Cry 3 has only been shown played on PC.
