Teen dies after playing Xbox

30 July 2011

Anna-Lee Kehoe, a young British girl, has tragically and very unexpectedly died. Perplexingly, she has suffered a heart attack whilst playing on her Xbox – a detail which no doubt will be treated with the correct degree of journalistic sensationalism.

The exact details of how a girl so young could suffer a heart attack are as yet unknown, the only real pre-existing condition for the teen being asthma. Anna-Lee had just gotten off for her summer holidays, and had been engrossed in an Xbox game for a few hours.

She reportedly got up to go to the bathroom, and came out saying she couldn’t breathe before collapsing. Her mother attempted CPR before she was rushed to hospital, but lack of oxygen had already left her brain dead.

Whether or not the hours playing Xbox had anything to do with her death are yet unknown. While there have been several deaths in the past attributed to marathon gaming sessions, Anna-Lee had only been playing for a few hours.
