Populous and four Ultima games land on GOG

27 August 2011

GOG.com is on an EA tear at the moment, bringing back many of the mega-publishers old smash hits into the present. Just yesterday we heard that they’ve added Dungeon Keeper 2 and Wing Commander 1 and 2, and now they’ve dropped some more goodies for die-hard EA fans.

These old treasures come in the form of the wildly popular Populous and the first four Ultima games. The long-running RPG series created by Richard Garriot will be available as a bundle for a measly $5.99 on August 30th.

Peter Molyneux fans wanting to revisit Populous can do so on the 1st September, also for $5.99. Populous was ground breaking for its time, and launched Molyneux’s path to king of god-games.

We can probably be expecting some more EA classics in the coming week, so if you’re a fan, feel free to start speculating on what’s going to make the cut.
