Oh, not that it’s a huge surprise or anything, but apparently the Gears of War 3 launch will be followed up by a series of premium DLC add-ons. Who knew, etc.
Anyway, Microsoft has just announced that you’ll be able to save some cash by buying a Season Pass upfront, which will get you an exclusive liquid metal weapon asset (whatever that is) and the first four DLC add-ons. And all that for the not-so-low-low price of 2400 MSP, while buying these separately will cost you 3600 MSP.
The first DLC is expected to release sometime in November, but quite what that or any of the others actually are remains a mystery for the moment. Probably maps. Probably maps from the two previous games, “remade” for Gears of War 3. Probably.
You don’t have to make a decision about it just yet, though, as the Season Pass will go on sale alongside Gears of War 3 on 20 September.
