As we go into the final, breathless countdown to the Gears of War 3 launch later this month (September), Epic Games has put out a new trailer that reminds us where we’ve been, and where we’re going, and how Dom Santiago grew a beard on the way over.
It’s pretty much everything you need to know going in for round three, and it’s all crammed into one minute and seventeen seconds of big necks and grenade tags.
There’s General RAAM doing his thing – LIKE A BOSS! – and the water flooding the Locust Hollow from Gears of War 1; there’s Jacinto collapsing into ruin in Gears of War 2; and then… well, then there’s just a whole lot of Lambents.
Yeah, that’s a lot of Lambents. War is hell, kids, but at least everybody got a new set of armour and this nice song by Mazzy Star.
Gears of War 3 hits the streets on 20 September 2011.
