I’ve been a little slow to get there, but this weekend I’ll be finishing Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Due to my rampant gaming ADD, I have to set this as a kind of personal goal for the weekend, otherwise I’ll get distracted by various other games, like one of those people that reads seven novels simultaneously, usually all by James Patterson.
If I lose my battle against distraction, I’ll most likely be weeping over my keyboard as I get insulted in Heroes of Newerth (addiction is a real disease, okay?).

I’ll be trying to discern my left analogue stick from my macro keys in a veritable orgy of gaming this weekend; Dead Island, Space Marine, rugby games, Heroes of Newerth, Minecraft Adventure Update 1.8. It’s actually an impossible line-up if I factor in sustenance and personal hygiene.
Somewhere along the line I also have to drink and watch metal bands perform to support some kind puppy-related charity. See, metalheads do care even if head-banging induced intracranial haemorrhaging makes us space on what exactly we are caring about…

This weekend I’ll be playing the same games I play every year at The Loerie Awards: “Drinking Boat Race”, “Projectile Vomit Championship”, and “Where The Hell Are My Pants?”.
If I make it back alive I’ll be spending my sick days finishing up Deus Ex.

I finally got myself a shiny sealed copy of Deus Ex: Human Revolution so I will be tackling that over the weekend. If word of mouth is anything to go by, I doubt I’ll have time for anything else really. If it fails to excite I’ll fall back on the venerable Trackmania Nations with some DotA in the mix.
