In news that won’t surprise anybody, Epic Games’ Cliff Bleszinski has confirmed they’ll be doing additional Gears of War 3 campaign stuff as DLC, although it might not be quite what you’re expecting.
“One thing I can tell you is that you’re not going to see Marcus or Dom or Cole in it,” he told The Telegraph. “I believe that DLC should be unique and cool, like Lost and the Damned, Gay Tony, Mad Moxie’s Underdome Riot. All those kind of things. DLC’s the place where you play and have fun. So that’s one thing that’s an indication of where things may be going in the future.”
Oh, I bet I know what it’s going to be – and you’ll work it out too, when you finish the game. There’s kind of a… gap.
Apart from that then, we can probably expect several rounds of map packs, and then of course there’s the Gears of War 3 Season Pass, which gets you the first four DLC add-ons at 33% off.
Don’t forget the extortionately priced weapon skins either! I bought the pink ones. No, I really did. Yes, you can blame people like me for this.
