Pro Evolution Soccer 2012 online modes revealed

28 September 2011

Pro Evolution Soccer 2012 is the latest entry into Konami’s popular soccer franchise (the clue is in the name), and with the game set to be shooting onto basically every platform this October, the company has detailed the online modes players can expect.

•    Master League –  let’s you take your team online to either play with, or against friends in competition with your a favoured play style. Contract periods, injuries and fitness issues will all add to the “realism” and continuity of the matches online.

•    Community Mode – The game offers matches for up to 8 people (PS3, Xbox 360 and PC only) and lets you join groups, communicate via bulletin-boards and also challenge each other through inter-community matches.

•    MyPES – You’ll also be able to keep all your friends up-to-date on your stats and online logs through the myPES application on Facebook. Because people care – really, they do.

•    Player Matching – You’re now more likely to be put up against players that play like you do; and teams with a bad reputation, like bad sports who disconnect from a losing match, will rather be pit against each other, as opposed to having them stuff up your game.

Jon Murphy, European PES Team Leader for Konami, said that players who exploit online loopholes will be punished; “Online is a key element to PES 2012 and we have worked hard to deliver options that enhance both the competitive edge of the game, and that bolster the solo modes in Master League Online.”

PES 2012 will be kicking you in the face October 14th on every platform but your mom.
