As yet, there has been no official word on when Silent Hill: Revelations 3D will be hitting cinemas abroad, with websites and imbd still toting “TBA 2012” as the release date.
But according to a South African cinema release schedule (PDF) compiled by moviesite.co.za, Ster-Kinekor Entertainment is set to release the movie locally on the 11th of May 2012.
The website doesn’t exactly look like an official source of anything, but a search through Numetro’s website also seems to back this up.
Is South Africa aware of something the rest of the world isn’t?
Silent Hill: Revelation is the sequel to 2006’s Silent Hill movie – which ended up being one of the best game-to-movie adaptations to date.
Not having anything to do with Uwe Boll already puts it in the top 5, really.
The movie will feature Heather Mason, (loosely) following the premise of the third game, and will be released in 3D.
Coming 11 May 2012 to a cinema near you, evidently.
