Yesterday it emerged that there may be plans for a Spielberg-helmed Halo movie to be heading into our lives in the not-too-distant future.
The info was apparently translated from a French press kit, and subsequently made it’s way onto internet, as these things invariably do.
Predictably though, Microsoft have now issued a statement saying that this is not the case – there is no movie in the works – proving once again that the rest of the internet just does not get the French.
“The information in the press release in question is inaccurate,” said Microsoft in a statement sent to Eurogamer. “We have no plans for a Halo feature film right now. Our focus is on developing Halo: Anniversary and Halo 4.”
So there you have it – dreams dashed once again by the internet, our cruel mistress.
While a Halo movie would be grand, at least we know that Microsoft have their priorities straight – we’d much rather play Halo than watch it.
Right?
